Ever lock up your bike and come back to see someone had stolen a part of your bike?

a pedal? who the hell steals one pedal?!! what kind of resale value does that have? i hate shit like that, at least if a saddle or handlebars gets stolen, someone is going to use it. but stealing one pedal is utterly pointless.

Did you show too much love to the right pedal, and neglect the feelings of the left pedal? It might have thought (un)screw this...I'm off?

I think this is a ruse to see if you leave the bike 'cos you can't ride it and and while you're in a confused state the thief returns with proper tools to break the lock, whatever.

it happens quite a bit, but it's usually bars / stem or saddle/post. I've never heard of a pedal being stolen, are you sure it was on the bike when you left the house?

Yea im sure, i dont think id have gotten very far without it.

Anyway it was probabaly some twat who likes to annoy cyclists, like loosening breaks.

Or more likely someone trying to steal the pair and only gets half way through, damn i hate my area.

Hating your area is one thing, but if you start disliking your volume as well, you've got self-esteem issues.

Kids will nick anything maybe because its gadgety looking or might come in useful later or some trophy to flash in the playground for drugs - caught some kids trying to get my saddle off once when the bike was locked up on the street outside the pub I was sitting in (window seat). When I 'challenged' them one of them warned me that his Dad was 22 stone! -next thing the Father of said kid comes out from the Taxi office across the road and starts pushing me around with his fucking huge belly spouting shit like "he aint nicking your fucking saddle cunt !, whats he want another fucking saddle for ?, hes got fucking loads indoors!"

I once came back to my mountain bike (when i used to ride it) to find the saddle around the wrong way, guess this was a failed theft attempt, a similar attack from the same sorta scrote that tried to get 'not4sale's' saddle........ ahh bless thats the future that is !!

Hopefully smearing shit over his bike..

Could also be used from a dedicated thief's POV.. I'd be less inclined to ride my bike home if it were covered in faeces..
