Rainy Manchester

This article cracked me up :-)
http://msn.football365.com/story/0,1...055588,00.html

"In England, they say that Manchester is the city of rain. Its main attraction is considered to be the timetable at the railway station, where trains leave for other, less rainy cities."

"Throughout the week they all work so hard. They only talk to people at lunch break. Then in the evening they come home and watch the telly, so they can get up early for work the next day."

err...did you not hear about their permanently leaky roof? I don't think they've ever managed to make it fully watertight.

now there's a sport: track squeegeeing - let's make our fortunes! Can I get a fixed squeegee? fixgee?

but yes, the manc velodrome has been plagued with problems since it was built, including climate-related showering tendencies.

And people (pansy footballers) should quit with whinging about the weather - it's not like you go to the north of England for the sun, now is it?

I've been to Manchester once.

I liked it.

But I got too drunk.

Woke up thinking I had gotten away with it.

Then spent the next 8 hours vomiting.

At least it was on works time.

maybe if London builds a better one then it will become the new National Cycling Centre and manchester will be left to decay into a forgotten, barren and windswept domdaniel....
