Right,

Here's a link to the route I'll be taking from Cutty Sark Gardens to Kew.

I'm thinking about starting about 9:30.

Who want's to hop on the Stompy bus? Where and what time?

If no one's going to join me at Cutty Sark, I'll start from Deptford Bridge 'cos it's nearer home.

Cutty Sark is nearer, I'll put some training in to see if I can make it to Deptford Bridge ;)

I presume you will meet the Rotherhithe/Surrey Quays end or do you mean the Deptford Broadway end ?

I meant the park under the DLR station, just past the bus depot thing. It's away from the road and I think it's a nice place to meet up.

But then there is the pub on Cutty Sark Gardens for those who want to meet up even earlier...

Cutty Sark meet would be easier, plus it is only 1 a km from Deptford bridge.

It's the feeder ride for this

I'm easy for keeping it SE, or even going to Brick Lane, but I think I'd prefer a gentle ride to kew and a sit on the green with a tinny.

Right, an update for those willing to brave the precipitation.

Start: Cutty Sark Gardens from about 9:20. I'll be somewhere between the "Gypsy Moth" pub and the entrance to the foot tunnel. If it's raining I'll be hiding in the entrance itself. I will not be in the pub because I'm not bringing my lock. So, if nobody turns up to hold my bike, I'll have to go without my half of Guinness.

I'm on a black Fuji with a white top tube protector.

Travel times based on my standard pootling speed of 12 mph.

Depart Cutty Sark Gardens 9:45.

Deptford Bridge 9:50. This is for those who miss the Cutty Sark start. We won't be stopping, so you'll have to keep an eye out for us to go past and then catch up.

Brixton Town Hall. 10:15ish. Might stop good time for a stretch.

Clapham Common. 10:25ish A good place for anyone from Balham/Tooting who wants to tag along.

Kew Green: around 11:15.

If you want to pick the bus up somewhere else, let me know and I'll keep an eye out for you.

If you need to call: zero seven nine seven one six six zero eight zero two.

Remember, bring food. The North Easties will be starting at a bagel shop; I'd rather save my bonking for when I'm off my bike.

A little rain won't kill you.

See you then.
