Need a room prefer being with other fixies

Hi, I am starting art school soon, two of us need a room. Stephen and me Una. We are looking for a room in seperate places. Both going to art school, Stephen is also registered here, he got me into bikes. Neither of us have met anyone yet, though Stephen bought me my first bike a surly from Jonny, I forget his second name, Wilkonson or something like that. I think he is pretty well connected with you folk at London. We have been out of London for a few months and now coming back. We have lived in london before so don't need showing around or anything. Not fussy about room, a warehouse type room is cool too. Price I guess around £400/month or something. Cheaper is cool too! Last time we lived in London we did not get to meet many people and looked for rooms through gumtree and ended up in some horrid places. So I thought I would try here and maybe get to live with some great people, have some people to cycle with and have a beer with too. just keep us in mind ok please. Oh yes, need rooms in September and we are both young not foggies.

hey EM, thansk for the welcome. i cant wait either. Been building my new bike and Stephen too learnt all possible, but now holiday over back to school etc. etc. This may sound corny but I just can't wait to meet you all, Stephen is raving about the London fixed community and always considers himself a London boy and highly defends London, and where have been and are from that is pretty dangerous thinking, gets you isolated. So I guess yyyyyyyeeeeeeeehhhhhhhhaaaaaaa this months is gonna be brill. Before hand we rode around in bought brick lane bikes, apologies to anyone who is offended by that, we were both very green and don't think we even realised we were supporting bike theft. Is London gonna have a velodrome before 2012 that we will be able to have a go on?

There is one at Herne Hill, but it's summer only (outdoor).

XXXXX to you object and scott too! Thanks for the warm welcome, beers for you three when we meet. Wilkinson that is himself, he was our first meet with London rider on fixed, not a bad start I would say. Tell Jonny hi, and yes we still have the bike. Just fire our names around should any rooms come around soon. Can give whoever my number when needs be. Not fussy on part of London as long as it is not in Archway at the top of that highgate hill, screw that! . Otherwise all reasonably central areas are no problem.

There is training (weather permitting) on Saturdays at Herne Hill until the end of October so you might squeeze a couple of sessions in. You'll need to do an induction first but they do those at 9 a.m. on Saturdays (training starts at 10:30 a.m.) There is also a track day for this forum, organised by the admirable Teenslain, on the 21st of Sept.

Good luck in your hunt for a room.

hit the quote button instead of reply.

Greenwich is nice as well. Brixton is cool, Herne Hill, Dulwich area is more posh and youre very close to the track.

camberwell is great, you've got the art school there, and loads of the chelsea/csm kids who live south congregate around camberwell. Me being one of them. And you get more for your money, I think. :)
