Keep losing chainring bolts

I've lost 5 in the last 6 weeks. They just unscrew themselves and jump out as I'm motoring along.
Previous threads have extolled the virtues of using grease to prevent clicking/creaking noises, but will this also prevent chainring bolts making their bid for freedom?
Or has anyone got any other tips that might stop this happening?

Any advice gratefully received - thanks!

NB anyone to suggest doing them up tighter can help themselves to a slap in the face and a cold, refreshing glass of shutup juice from the counter by the door on the way out...

Have you welded your BB in now, or does it keep unscrewing?

The ones that came with my S75 cranks were shocking. Got some steel ones from Cavendish for a quid each and they've been great.

Don't 'motor along'.

They'll stay put if you pedal more sedately, keeping your ankles covered up at all times.

Cheers all. Have been using a peg spanner but to no avail.
They're probably not the best bolts, but will give the threadlock a go.

if they keep coming loose when seeimgly done up tight, it could be that they are not narrow enough. The bolt needs to be clamping against the surface of the chainring & spider. If it isnt (the bolt mereley reaching the end of its threads) it is likeley to come loose, some washers or narrower bolts will help you here.

Do them up tighter you feeble almost-male!

I use a chainring tool (little 2-pronged jobbie) and an allen key and I've only had one vanish (which was probably murtle's fault anyway).
