Ellis Briggs 531 Lo-Pro frame and forks

The replace-a-bent-bike fund needs filling up so I'm selling this laaarvly Ellis Briggs:

It's 531 that's obviously been resprayed and re-decalled at some point The colour is really rich in the flesh. Seat Tube is 59 c-t-c and the head tube is teeny, so the top tube length is probably moot, but it is 700c front and rear so shouldn't be that extreme when built up (which I haven't) - would suit the lankier of you ladies and gentleman.

The good bits:
  • Straight and true with no dings
  • Purdy - decals and lug lining are all in lovely shape
  • Campagnolo drops (126mm)
  • Beautifully made with some lugs and some brazing

Bad bits:
  • The previous owner had the shifter braze on removed from the down-tube - only a slight cosmetic issue though and you could always use a band on if not converting it...
  • ...They also tried to cover small paint chips with a slightly darker paint at points (see the brake drilling above)
And detailed bits:
  • The BB shell is RGF - but I don't think it is a french BB thread (though I haven't tried building it up)
  • Also I've not put a seat post in though will try and update this post later with the size...
Anyway, I'm hoping to get £150 and I'd cheerfully deliver it to most places in town. PM me up if you're interested. Cheers.

I like it, but for a conversion will be a very low BB.

Sorry.

No worries - it'll be ebay bound after the weekend. I love it, but not with stumpy legs!

Out of interest, I stuck it on some wheels earlier and the BB is lower than the one on my track frame, but only by about 8mm - with 24 odd centimetres of clearance. Coz its 700c front and back its not too daft when its built.
