Aluminium vs Steel - London Fixed-gear and Single-speed

i've read some threads on recomending frames and bikes, and there seems not to be too much distinction between ali and steel.
i find ali not very nice too ride, a bit harsh and hard, while good steel ( reynolds ) is bloody near perfect.
any other opinions ?

vegemite is for pussies, it's not strong enough, i buy marmite in bulk, keep it for at least 5 years to let it 'develop' then i spread it on toast as thick as you would with chocolate spread.

Quality link RPM, though it makes me think of Garth Marenghi's Darkplace these days.

If you're wearing any garments with more than 45%/55% cotton/polyester blend: Alu.

If it's a day of the week beginning with 's': Alu.

If you felt like you had a cold coming on the previous night, but it didn't blossom: Steel.

If you've had oral sex within the past 3 days: Alu.

If, at your most recent local elections, there was at least a 10% swing in the favour of the Conservatives: Steel.

If you can speak more than 3 languages: Alu.

If you're currently lower than VB in the reputation league: Steel.

If you can recite the alphabet backwards in less than 12 seconds: Alu.

It's a no-brainer really.
