Opinions re: this dolan - London Fixed-gear and Single-speed

Quite keen on this Dolan - is it a forumenger selling it. If not does anyone have strong feelings re:this bike. I dig the look, but do wonder whether it would be a good 'first fixed' choice. (with a brake of course)

Its an ok starting point. A lot of the components come off a cannondale capo which isn't great. The crankset is pressed tin & won't last. the wheels are heavy but tough. The frame is ok but the geometry is a bit slack but it's still an ok light weight frame, at the current price of £227 it is a good buy... I wouldn't recommend going above £300 for it. In fact I'd probably go for this instead

I'd go for the Trek too, but imagine it will go for a fair bit over £450

also, i'm not keen on the look of those cannondale forks on the dolan.

the dolan is a very good buy for £300, assuming the components aren't completely shagged out.

The trek will go for more than £400 - and it's a different size!!

the trek has ext bb cranks, a world of difference from that £40 vero chainset.

Willing to fetch it and bring it to london on the train if anyone really wants it.

You wanna check the sizing on that, it looks way smaller than a 53", more like a 49/50"...

Have you seen this? My memory may be imperfect but I think the seller had a BIN of £400/£450 earlier in the auction.

If you add the cost of the parts up I'd say that it was (at the BIN price) close to a bargain.

If it's above your cost ceiling doc_si I'd be willing to split some parts with you if you/we win the auction?
