This is true, there are politically motivated cyclists, for example Critical Mass is basically a coming together of cycling advocacy proponents, and Islamic fanatics do engage in suicide bombings driven by political (and necessarily religious) motivation.

I am not sure he is saying anything controversial here.

I think one of this man's problems is that his campaign is driven by a hatred of cyclists, he makes a collective judgement against all cyclists (perhaps based on his own personal experiences) - but I don't see this as any different as people on this thread making a judgement, of sorts, against him based on what he looks like (grizzled gray beard).

His background story makes him sound like a bit of a nobody who is compensating for his failure to achieve anything of merit by making life difficult for other people.

^sorry, that sentence is really hard to read.. where's BMMF when you need him?^

I was cooking - a weird veggie chilli including the broad beans from this week's organic box, and my most recent batch of home-sprouted alfalfa/mung/aduki/chick pea/radish. Can't believe I went to all that effort when there are half a dozen fried chicken shops within a stone's throw (through their windows) from here.

I suppose you could add a comma after 'nobody' to scaffold the clause structure for all levels of reader... or maybe replace 'of merit' with 'meritorious' to cut out a function word.

Or how about, "he sounds like a bitter, misanthropic, obstructive loser"?

Anyway, I understood what you meant. Fuck everyone else.

he obviously has a chip on his shoulder so is exaggerating stuff.

Many asian countries have worked extremely hard to get people OFF bicycles, rickshaws, and light motorcycles which dominate many cities.

They do cause extreme congestion and a lot of air & noise pollution in many places.

I do not feel this really applies to the USA though, the more people out of cars the better.

It would take a huge number of obnoxious cyclists to slow down other traffic in the US.

But what he say about critical mass rings very true. There is a lot of irratating cunts, always trying to prove a point about some issue.

The type of person who insists on telling everyone they are a proud lesbian etc..

you get my point?

Who cares...

Thanks Bring, I thought about the comma after 'nobody', but felt it made the whole shebang a bit pedestrian.

Nice, I thought about making the following joke:

"Thanks Bring, I thought about the comma after 'nobody', but felt it would pedestrianise the sentence. And i guess that's something Rob Anderson would prefer."

But I decided it was clutching at straws a little bit. And I wanted to say shebang.
