Baffled by transmission

I've got some Gran Compe hubs; and want to get a set of sugino RDs for a new build.
I've had a look through the transmission database, but cant seem to find a similar setup.
What length / type of BB would i need to run RDs with the gran compe's 42mm chainline?
I dunno what difference sprocket type makes; but I'll probably be getting DA as it seems sort of the standard.

cheers in advance of any help...

It's a 103mm JIS. Sugino make them, amongst others.

Once you've got it running, add it to the Database!

If you search for 'transmission', the only two threads that come up are yours and this one:

http://www.londonfgss.com/thread3372-2.html#post264198

scroll to the end, and there is a list of shit that works together.

Sugino RD + Sugino/103 + Sys-X + Dura Ace = MA3K

Ok cool, so sugino BB it is. will i be confronted with threading questions if i go get one?
I've got an old (probably 60's) holdsworth track frame: logic tells me that would be an english BB thread right?

I read somewhere that RDs with the ring on the outside and a 103 BB give a 45mm chainline, you have to mount it on the inside to get it perfect.

Yeh, there seems to be mixed comments on wether the RD gives a 45mm (some have said it gives 42mm? I'm guessing by doing what you suggested?).
Have people been using a similar setup without problems? I dont mind so much about it being less than silent... as long as it wont de-rail.
