250km (or so) in 3 days, fixed.. am i mad?

so. ive got a few days off work, and my plans to climb Mt.Fuji have been scuppered. I need a bit of an adventure!

is this idea gonna kill me? a 3 day trip around Lake Biwa, from Kobe.

its flat for most of it, but 60km (in two hours) is the longest ride ive fixed.

(to make life easier, i can just get the train to the lake, and then its a much easier 2 day affair)

Eat lots, drink lots, take a break for some photo snapping and you should be fine.

You'll certainly find out if your bike is setup correctly :)

52 miles in one whole day is really nothing...most couriers do more than that 5 days a week, with no real effort...

excellent way of showing off about the fact that you are in Japan though!

I'm sure you are mad, but not sure if that is a cycling-related condition

250km is a shade over 80km a day, so say 40km in the morning, lunch break, then 40km in the afternoon...That's 2 hours or less per "session" even at a gentle cruise. Doddle.

Wear decent shorts...

No, madness is riding 200mi/day for a whole year. Anything else is just plain old cycling.
