what are these like on the road? or would you only use them on the track? i am thinking of starting herne hill... sorry, dont know much about wheels.

I weigh around 14 stone, would these support me or would I be better with more spokes?? Will be using them for road/commuting?

you can use a brake on non-machined rims.

I've been using a front brake on my set of these everyday since easter and it's only just starting to mark. Nice wheels, look sweet when they're spinning.

To answer all the questions in one go.

They are fine for the road, deep section rims, 28 spokes, they are stronger that lots of road race wheels.

They are fine for 14 stone, I am nearly that so you will not have a problem.

They work fine with a brake, they have a machined flat on them, but it is the same colour as the rest of the rim, I use cork/carbon wheel pads and they stop dead.

I am using them on the road today, so if you wanna see them, they are parked outside my work near victoria station.
