and remember people, keep the bike perfectly upright, if you lean it even a tiny bit you'll get an incorrect reading.

condor pistas are only about 270mm

What are you on, a scraper bike ?

You can, if you can be bothered, work it out on a frame by measuring how far below the rear drop out the centre of the BB is - then take this figure off half the circumference of a wheel + tyre.

300mm : Cannondale Track '94 56cm

*317mm, large Cannondale Rush, 26" Continental Vertical Pro's.
280mm, 58cm Cannondale SystemSix, 700 X 23C Conti Attack/Force.
295mm, large Dyno beach cruiser, 26" something or other tyres.

*But probably rather different when I am on it.

Yeah technically b.b drop is the important number in terms of frame design as it's not effected by tyre size.

my fensom lo-pro road time trial frame with 700x23 is about 270mm, +170mm cranks, = pedal strike. i also get some toe overlap sometimes, makes the whole weaving between curbs and taxis just a little more unpredictable. love it.
