anyone on here know iSQL at all?

i need to accept a users input of a date value [in the format DD/MM/YYYY] and add it to a table... it's doing my brain in and the usual interwebs channels ie. google, wikipedia etc. have all been useless

More detail please... what are you having trouble with exactly? Formatting the date properly? Getting the user input? Adding it to a table?

have got it licked now... needed to use a PL/SQL block 'cos for some strange reason ACCEPT wasn't passing the input through properly.

stupid bloody sql... i'm so glad i'll be shot of it when this project's finished :D
