| | ta very much, i will give it a wide berth in that case. Bit of a headache finding a bike but patience is a virtue I guess. It's a potential minefield with lots of people trying to just rip others off. I'm just desperate not to buy a deathtrap, oh and get ripped off. Thanks for the advice though, i'll keep an eye on the classified. cheers |

| | hey, utterly new to this, just bought a single speed (gumtree, doh) - 1. chain snapped. 2. Closer inspection (why didn't I inspect closer before buying, dohdoh) - front chainset teeth down to gums, rear cog not in any way aligned. Should I just write it off, or get new back wheel & front chainset? And - is that all you have to do? Buy rear wheel, put on bike - or is there something more technical than that? (I did say I'm a total newbie) |

| | hello. I just puchased a frame that hade been, what it looks to be professionally repainted. I found that the forks are TANGE, chrome. Has Shimano 600 Arabesque, cranks and all. Looks to be chrome on rear forks but I haven't stripped it off yet. Trying to find out year, frame? Any suggestions? |

Ah yes, the missus! lol I can go 20 times a night, but i'm absolutely rubbish!! lol 'Tis a fair point though! Maybe i rushed in a bit. Ok i'll start with a question, that i can relate to something I know about, and hence make it more relevant to myself! I can tell you that the BMX craze started in the early 70's (although this is debateable), and most would say in the US. But, where and when did the FG craze start?? Has it been around for ages and just comes and goes in fits and bursts? (simlar to BMX) Or is it a relatively new thing? | |
