| | Right dropout too narrow! Bit flummoxed with this one. Any and all help greatly appreciated, o ye of superior mechanical wisdom… Brand new frame, and my rear wheel just wouldn't fit in. On closer examination, the left dropout fits it fine, but the right one (which is chromed, if that helps or hinders) is too narrow. Maybe by 1-2mm (calipers at home, so can't be more precise just yet). I've tried some gentle levering along the vertical axis (trying not to fuck with the alignment too much) but to no avail. Any ideas? Is there a specific tool for this? Or is it a case of dropping it into a shop and letting a mechanic wrestle cash off me unnecessarily? Last edited by addie; 11th August 2008 at 17:36..
