Newbie! Have a Dawes and Giant Speeder to play with... - London Fixed-gear and Single-speed

Hi peeps,
I've just impulsively acquired two racers from fleabay, thought I'd have a go at conversions/restorations. Anything in particular I should look out for? I thought I'd start with the Dawes rust bucket. Pictures to follow once the sun comes out again...
