Nitto bars + Dia Tech brake lever

Don't want to play nicely together- without the shim the brake lever does not fit, nor with the shim.

Essentially I need a thinner shim- anyone know where I can get one?

I know I can just cut a beer can up, but wanted something "proper" if possible.

Tried using just half the shim? I did this with my dirt harry and easton 30 bars when I had my lever in the bent bit. Worked great.

I could do that but it woud be a bit of bodge, and I would alays be worried that the lever would come loose at the worst possible moment!

coke can? baked bean can? They hold my handlebars and seatpost in place.

If you can't move it with your hands when it's securely on you shouldn't have to worry since you don't really put any force on a brake lever. That was my reasoning at least.

Why would it be a bit of a bodge? If you increase the contact area, the clamp should work. Doesn't matter if you use a full shim or half the shim or a beer can. Just because it has two halves doesn't mean that there is some eternal law that thou shalt use both or none.
