Then buy a light and twitchy frame not a bike.

Edit: Just noticed, dude won't take paypal, so it will probably get removed before it finishes. I tried that once, ebay pulled my listing with less than an hour to go :-(

Ah, but the fixie brigade are all over frame sales like a rash.. Also I need a fair few components... so I thought buy a reynolds tubed light racer and buy a decent set of wheels and off I go... I'm happy with my current bike, but I want something quicker.

Are people sure thats vert drops? This one looks similar but has angled..

I thought they looked horizontalish - like there's a bit of a slot either side of the nut/skewer...

they look semi vertical drop outs, might get away with it with a half link chain and good eye. its a nice frame. freshly washed which is always nice

seller confirmed they were horizontal, or at least partially. but it's already gone to 130quid. So I'll leave it, thanks all for your help. Just keep my eyes peeled for a nice frame. Popping down to the dump after work each day...

semi vertical? wtf is that
all the forward facing dropouts that I've seen are pretty much diagonalm if thats what you mean
to me they look like short horizontal dropouts

Quicker? These are bikes not cars, pedal harder.

fucking came off on my cycle home, just put a burst of speed on to get round a car and chain came off, skidded on pedal and seat (torn to hell) which has skewed round... and into curb. Thats why I need a decent set up because to go fast you need a reliable bike, fucking thing. Pain in the knee, ankle and thigh and possibly wallet.

Sirius No

They were very poorly made and were the cheapest frames available of their era, not worth touching IMHO, I've seen several with very excitingly positioned bosses.....
