Oury Grips

What is the best way to trim a set of these grips to accept a set of bar-ends. Suggestions i have received are to use a hot knife or put the grips on the bars and then tap the handlebar on a hard surface [gently] with the grip facing downwards, thus removing the end of the grip. Are either of these good methods or is there a better way to execute this manoeuvre ? Please advise.....thanks comrades.

declare the bar end an "enemy of the people" and a "Right-Trotskyeyte wrecker", kick it out of the Politburo, hand its case over to the NKVD, have Yezhov brutalize it in prison, then have it shot, and its family sent to the Gulag. repeat un-till we reach workers utopia.

buy some normal grips.. or dont use bar ends?

errr, just a sharp knife would be fine, and if you dont mind marking you bars, cut with them on the bars, just go round, easy.

altho why you would ever wanna do it is a mystery to me

This is a Stalinist line and is unacceptable!.....workers utopia will only be achieved through democracy and respect for the individual......

buy the lock on ones in the first place, check other peoples, somewhere on bikeforums single speed section some guy did a good job, just make sure that the bar end is the same height/depth so its flush

i have been told and read reviews that the lock on ones are no where near as comfortable, due to hard plastic core.

If you chop the grips they go from being 'Oury' to 'Our' grips? Thereby becoming grips of the people.

I see thru your cunning commie plot!

No this is a fascist plot you have uncovered...as you have removed a letter from the RIGHT of the word OURY....if it was a communist [commie is so McCarthyist]...one would remove the O....making Ury...close to the Russian name of the Soviet hero of space travel...Yuri Gagarin!

Flickwg......thank you comrade for your help ....cheers
