She wants to leave her shifting levers on?!

OK, so, my girlfriend is working on a ss Conversion and she insists that she wants to leave her Shifting leavers on just cause she likes them aesthetically on her bike? This personally drives me completely nuts! I DONT SEE THE POINT! If they're not connected to anything then why have them? Am I being lame? or should I just get off the subject? It's a drunken rant I know, But what do you think?

Just tell her you accidentally knocked the bike over and *cough* (only) damaged the shifters.

Remove, get rid of the bosses and you're sorted.

Why do you really care though...You wont be the one riding it...
