well its the open Taster Session. It was not a race. Every Saturday everyone can have a go.
I can really recommend it even though it is quite far. We stayed overnight and went out afterwards.
It cant be done in a daytrip since the last train to London leaves 7:24pm (session starts at 6pm)
However 190 miles is far by Britain standards alone anyway. :)

just seems quite empty for a saturday!

I'm particularly jealous as it's raining here and the likelyhood of HH running today is slimmer than an anorexic on a sponsored slim during lent.

we are doing this when i'm healed up. rode on the velodrome before they relaid the surface for the commonwealth games and loved it but thats a while ago now. and it's only 20 miles away for me. :)
glad you enjoyed it. how much did you pay?

9.90 per person including all gear..
you get around 40min of real track time from that after fitting and safety instructions.

I liked it a lot. Especially the playing around rolling all up in the curve (its the steepest track in Europe)
and then pulling down when you exit the curve. pheeeeeeeeeeeew !!!

during that hour they block the track for all regular riders thats why its empty.
We then just hung round and watched that credit agricole pursuit team that trained for the European Masters.
My mate also happend to meat his future ex-wife ( The Blond in the white wedding lycra )

I think Calshot's waaaaaay steeper, but I expect Manchester's the steepest 250m track.
