Long lasting, skid resistent tyres?

I've worn through two armadillo's in a week, one was 28c and thin, 2nd was a bit perished to start with, but still, it's crap. I'm brakeless, 42:20/17 depending on polo/road riding, so 20 (ambidextrous skidder, I am) or 17 patches, so they have worn evenly. Problem is I've been playing polo loads and went to TrixiePricks and that car park surface is like sandpaper!

What tyres do you used on the back that last for ages?

Marathons?
Soma EverWear?

any others?

TIA

If you don't mind a bit of extra weight in your wheels and can handle riding something other than a 23c (as the smallest they do is 25c)

That is off the Steamer, but did you see my back tyre today?

Is in the same state, might actually ride it until it explodes.

Funny thing, you deflate the tyre, as in picture above and they go concave. Still, even at the death, thicker than the average tyre.

They will last you long, as long as you don't skid on the chickswithdicks rooftop.

gabes, you need to find the old style armadillo's, i run them on the rear and last for a ages. on polo bikes though, i've gone through 2 rubino's and a shitty panaracer. rubino's are cheap and last for a bit.

Who stocks Soma Everwears in London? Wanna try one on my back wheel after hearing a few positive reviews, still not enjoying the Gatorskin on DeathBike... Too grippy for my liking... Please and thank you...

I got mine at BLB, 4 months ago, it's still going strong. but, they are not cheap, over 30 notes if I remember correctly.

I'd call them first, to check they still have them.

Keep going with the Gatorskin, took me a while to get used to it as like you say thought it was too grippy but now I've taken a mm or two off it, feels spot on, slides well now

The Gators are getting better but the judder while you're breaking them in really rattles my spine... And £30 is a lotta cash for one of those bloody Somas when I can get a set of Gators for £25! Hmmm...
