Give me some frame colour ideas

I'm going to get the frame of the Gazelle repainted soon and wanted to explore some new ideas re. colour. It'll probably be two colours as per the pic below which is just for reference, main colour and then head-tube and a panel on the seat-tube in a different colour. I've built wheels for it that are all black, black hubs, black rims, black spokes. Originally I was thinking all black, decals in red and red panels, decals on the red panels in black. But would appreciate some fresh ideas. Cheers.

Forgot to add that the frame has been aged at 1969 by the factory, not sure if this makes a difference to your colour ideas but it might!

^ This is not my Gazelle frame/bike it's just a pic for reference.

That picture is for reference to see where the colour panels will be, it's not my bike/frame.

Strip it to the metal and then give it a Bronze sunburst (thing Gibson Les Paul) from the bottom of the forks and up from the bottom bracket. line the lugs in thin gold. then clear coat!

Well thats what the Claud is getting when I am ready.. copy it and i will hunt you down and use your teeth the scrape you frame back to the metal.. and maybe beyond.. if i have had a good day..

Thanks Shin, I'm currently really liking No. 7 in a banana and cherry combo sort of way (yellow frame, red panels). I reckon that would look really good with black wheels and black details, or even brown details (saddle, bar tape).

personally i don't see the value of re-painting a vintage frame, unless it is totally and utterly shagged. more often than not, the original finish will be more durable and hard waring. just polish it and fill in scratches with hobby enamel. my 2c.

Would tend to agree mate if it looked half decent but currently it's not original and doesn't even have the right brand decals on it! As it is now:

I wrote to Gazelle with the frame no. and they're saying it was built in 1969, would be nice to do something that was true to the era - think the bright yellow and red could fit that.
