| | On the first day at University, many moons ago, a mate of mine fell out of his window and smashed some teeth out. Another friend grabbed them, got him to the dentist and had to hold one in place while some stitching was done - on the first day they ever met. Good chap. |

| | A close friend of mine was a bit skint and had a bad tooth ache, I know this sounds like an urban myth but I promise it's true. So she drank a bottle of whiskey, went to her garage , got a pair of pliers and pulled out the bad tooth herself! Fuck, there is no way I could do that no matter how bad the pain. |

| | Addie, are you of the spitalfields locality (you are, aren't you? or are you? For some reason I think you live east...hmmm) this place on Bethnal Green Road http://www.nhs.uk/ServiceDirectories...d=000001_E20AA (I hope that link works) is rather good. Taking on new NHS patients, hasn't done me a filling in the two years I've been there despite the fact that I probably do need at least one. So not very drill happy. |

Drillus minimus: fantastico! NHS newbies: even greater. Also, what's current dentistry decorum? Does one first see a hygienist, or use the 'go straight to the dentist' card? Or is that hygiene bit only for private folks? | |
