true, anything more than £6 is a little cheeky for an ordinary stem like that.

Its a wee bit shinier than normal, which might someone buy it for £6.

If it was a dull grey, £2/free would suit.

look, its a well made stem, and to be honest I don't give a shit about most of your stupid comments

it is a nice, good quality stem, and there's relative demand for shorter stems,
and £20 isn't a bad price, not that I'm not open to offers

seatpost has two people with dibs,
stems still available to sensible offers

All of these things are ridiculously expensive. I wasn't gonna post, but if you are gonna be arsey then so will I. How much does a can of autosol and 15 minutes with a rag cost?

dude. all of the stuff is ridiculously over priced. you know it, so don't try to rip people on the forum!

if you're willing to pay £40 for a cheaper campag aero post, you deserve it.

'ridiculously overpriced'? how did you get to that?
the prices for these things are reasonable and in some cases negotiable
for example, the top stem was purchased for just under £10 in a state that wasn't entirely desirable,
then I spent about 2 hours cleaning and polishing it, getting it to the state that it is now, which is pretty fucking nice
so if you think that my labour is worth than 5 pound an hour you can fuck off

are you under 21? if so, then you're getting a bargain. minimum wage is £4.77. that's an extra 23p for your efforts above what you should be getting.

nb: good luck with the sale. unfortunately labour and effort doesn't really come into when talking about market value. otherwise my soiled underpants would be worth a million english pounds.

and as a rule of thumb, i got a campag record aeropost from paul at freshtripe for £25.

hope this helps, and as i said, good luck with the sale.

I think by getting 'agitated' by our comments is a daft thing to do on a forum, thats exactly what this place is for, you should know by now that people speak their minds on here...

Whilst i'm here, regarding your comment - 'just leave the computer and get on your bike', must of us are at work trying to find an excuse not to work and follow our passion with like minded people, I think I can safely say that everyone here would rather bo out on their bikes rather than sat infront of a computer.

The foundation of this forum is to share banter, advice, tools and parts, not to rip people off. Thats why people are saying what they are saying.

I bought an Aero for £20 off ebay in NOS condition. The Athena above cost me £5 off ebay, a bargain maybe but we are not daft (well, most of us anyway).

Kalloy stem - £12 new http://velokit.co.uk/cart_productdet...PRODUCTID=3979

That seatpost is worth:
(a) what people are willing to pay.
(b) what you paid for it.
NOS aero seatposts on campyoldy are sold for £20 - £150 depending on the model.

Stem failure should not be taken lightly.
I've thrown away nicer stems for the sake of my conscience.

Sorry if you've had enough mikey!
I was making a broader point about the responsibility of sellers to disclose where parts they sell come from.
Not just you, but lots of sales of alloy stems and I shudder to think they may have been battered in a previous life. The Cinelli stem I chucked didn't have a single scratch, the bars took the impact. d'uh. ;-)
