| | but you can have the same position with drops? and also get the benefit of a different position for going up hills. I come from a bmx/mtb kinda backgrounf so I was certainly not accustomed to them. Dont know any other road bike users either so not influenced. But, yeah drops! Come to love them, the drop position really helps get the most power out when standing. and its nice to switch between the two top hand positions for normal riding. Like I . I and _._ if you know what I mean? flat hand & sideways hands on the tops. If its a bike with drop brake levers, you get to use the hoods too. Id only want to use risers for barspins. |

| | see, even though i have risers there isn't enough clearance for bar spins, im not really into all these tricks and the like, i enjoy to do the odd backward circle and weird trackstands however, thats about it, i just love narrow bars to whip through gaps in traffic, inches make differences when cars are on either side of you. i do agree with drops give you benefits for more power when climbing up hills but im just used to narrow bars in traffic, i feel comfortable with them i guess. are you comming for a roll on sat skeletonboy? ALSO - whats peoples ages here? |

| | I still havent got a bike together yet, after my raleigh broke nearly a month ago. Got all the parts together now, need to get my rims polished and then build wheels. Hopefully done by next week, would love to come for a ride. But id be coming down from Birmingham so would need some other shit to do in the day. I just turned 24 by the way. |
