they do have that clever little thing that allows the axle to be shifter 2mm

"but we stock it for the chainline hack feature. Judicious setup allows you to move the 'line 2mm either way. Since very few 120mm hubs conform to the 42 point something 'standard', this is the most efficient way to get a bike dialled in,"

I am.

Now, the BB, I am not sure as yet, to be honest I am not sure what French rings are ?

Can you talk me through the basics, or to save time I will tell you what I need: I need an Italian BB with both cups tightening clockwise (Ie: not like British cups with normal and reverse thread).

So what's the deal with French cups ?

FYI Phil will sell you Italian cups separately... I've researched this extensively in the last coupla weeks...
