| | Where's The Stronglight Crank Puller?? As some of you might know I have recently purchased the attached lovely classic stronglight cranks for my 1965 Bob Jackson. I now need to find the correct size crank puller to fit them. I am told this tool is quite rare. DO YOU KNOW ANYONE WITH ONE? DO I NEED ONE TO FIT THESE CRANKS? IS THERE A CYCLE SHOP WHO WOULD FIT THEM? I am desperate to get the bike back on the road! Very close to giving up and getting modern cranks installed instead! Any further help you might have would be very gratefully received! Thanks very much! |

| | According to Sheldon the TA track bottom bracket has a 111.5mm spindle. You can get a 110/113mm shimano, or sjs have a 110.5 tange. Holdsworth should be able to sort you out, but not many shops will have this info. EDIT - Please ignore some of what I said above! I forgot that you have a geared bike... I don't know what BB you will need to get good indexing on the 5 gears... perhaps to the 115mm Sheldon used? Last edited by provenrad; 15th July 2008 at 13:22.. |
