Fixie Conversion Blog

I have started a blog to track to chart the progress of my conversion - please visit it at http://fixieconversion.blogspot.com/

There won't be many updates for the next week or so as I'm away in sunny Spain, but will pick it up again when I get back.

Cheers

Matt

aha yes RSS, never remember about that, since so many sites spam you when u use it i stopped using it.
Luckily Firefox has it so I'll do that.
It's nice that people like yourself make an effort to record the steps.
Should be a good link for others who want to go and convert theirs too.
Good luck man ;)

btw I'm Dylan

Don't you post this on every thread that uses the word fixie ? Haven't you got anything better to do with your time ? And who made you the ultimate decision maker anyway ?

There are plenty of threads and posts on here using fixie, rather than fixed, so there are obviously plenty of other people who use the expression.

Endlessly correcting peoples' usage of one word rather than another based on your own preferences makes you sound like a 5 year old. Who cares which one sounds better - no one's listening.

And my dad's bigger than your dad and is going get both of you, so there :-)

Go and stand in the corner and face the wall or I'll smack your legs.

Ha! He's about 6 inches shorter than I am...
Nice bargain on that bike btw. :-)
I would humbly suggest to keep all the 105 bits - you won't get much at all and you never know when the next frame comes around and you wna to do longer distances... versatile.

I love the end of part two where the presenter is clearly getting pissed off at getting her ass slapped by big daddy.

Yeah, I'm umming and aahing about putting them on my "other end of the commute" bike - they're definatly better quality that the generic shimano SIS stuff on there at the moment. Wonder what they would go for on ebay ?

The reason people correct each other is that it is called a Fixed Gear Bicycle, Fixed for short.

Fixie is god knows what, probably invented by some new labour cunt journalist writing some urban hipster piece in the guardian.

It sounds stupid too
