Wheel build cockup?

I've just built up some wheels for a friend - thought all was ok, but she mentioned that the back looked funny.....I've just had a look and sure enuff, i've screwed up the lacing. I'm all set to rebuild it (need the practice, obviously!) but just wanted to ask if anyone could tell from the crappy phone pics if its safe or just about to fall apart!!

It won't fall apart, it may go out of true quicker though due to uneven spoke tension. It almost looks like a two leading two trailing type affair in bits.

cheers - reckon i can let her ride home on it then! she live in greenwich so if you see her on your travels in tears with a collapsed back wheel, you'll know who's fault it is!!!

there's a bloody massive metal ring stuck to the hub, could be a bit iffy.
and that sticker on the rim could kill her credibility..

think it's because its 2x and you're using a large hub.

nothing, just for why it looks weird (his is really big flange). 2x looks nice, but is edgy for a rear if you are big.

i'm big, mainly length rather than girth. do you think I'll have a problem riding 2x rear?

you also have to factor in the torque from the disc brake. As well as the direction of the leading and trailing spokes.

I personally wouldnt run a 2x wheel on a disc wheel. Front or Back
