Cheap FSA chainset - London Fixed-gear and Single-speed

Hi guys,

Since my old Sugino on what used to be road bike is giving up on me (can't even take the pedals of, it must have spent ages in the shed) I am in need of a new chainset. I found this:

Does this seem ok?
My whole bike is a budget build so I reckon this should do the trick?
Only concern is will it give me the 42mm chainline?
Maybe someone has some cranks for sale?

It's a fair price with the BB included, choice of crank lengths too.

i just bagged one. perfect for budget build. then when it breaks in a year or creaks like an outhouse door in a hurricane, you can get something better.

Never asume, but probably.

If I can get them off without killing them, should have stock bianchi pista cranks, ring and bb going in the next couple of days. Truvativ touro jobbies if your interested.

I would be interested, provided the chainring is good for 1/8 chain and the BB will have an english thread?

kiwi paul uses these and i have them on my polo bike. have 165 but it is basically the same as the 170 with the hole drilled 5 mm further up the crank arm. umm, and inside the crank you will see the letters RPM so assume it is just an FSA branded RPM crank. people will brand anything these days.

all that said, good for the money.

jonny u got here first i was about to say that they're exactly the same as the RPM ones. perfect for budget/polo.

English thread BB, comes with the standard 3/32nd 48t ring, although fine for an 1/8th chain and sproket which is how I run it.

I have 47t and 49t 1/8th rings, but they will run an extra tenner each as they are the posh stonglight zicral ones.

I'll let you know when I shift them, not sure my crank puller will work, so I might have to borrow one first.

they look slightly nicer than the old RPM ones. which isn't saying much.

if you don't need a bb you can buy just the crank and rings here for a bit less.

I do need the BB as well.

Just checked, I have all the right tools, so, provided my new cranks turn up, they will be available in the next couple of days. The chainring I need costs £26.99, so you can have the cranks, ring and bb for that, or £45 with the two 1/8th zicral chainrings too.

Edit: and let me know if you need a hand fitting as I have the tools, incase your on a budget and don't want to buy them.

RPM is owned by FSA and has been for quite some time. hence RPM and FSA do the same stuff.

BB is toast I'm affraid, took the cranks off just to check things out and its lumpy and kinda f*cked. You can still have the cranks and ring if you want, I'll have a look if I can find the right replacement BB for cheap. Just thought I'd let you know incase you wanted to buy the fsa.
