Cheap or Expensive BB's? Whats the difference?

Ok another BB question: What is the difference between a really expensive BB and a middle of the road one? Do I need to spend lots of money in order to get a quality BB?

Thanks again!

£28 campag centaur: very very good value.

the difference is usually in longevity, sometimes in clunkiness.

the miche primato is about £15 and perfectly adequate.
