If we have, shut the fuck up anyway, coz I don't know you well enough to let insults slide. I might take it personally and be forced to send a swarm of killer bees after you and your family. Fuck pink shirts.

| | i just got home from Paris, after watching the last stage of the Tour from on the barriers about 150m after the finish. Brilliant. We even got interviewed by the Aussie ABC TV crew. You cunts are far too harsh on Cadel. He didn't crack in the time trial, he was fucked from chasing CSC up mountains for three weeks with no support! to put it in perspective, he was only 28 seconds slower than Britain's favourite confessed-doper-cum-time-trial-specialist-hero David Millar, and i didn't see Millar fighting off three-sided attacks on Alpe d'Huez, he was cruising along avoiding getting eliminated and saving his legs. Cadel didn't crack and lose the tour, he was beaten by one of the most dominant team performances i've seen for years... and there is no shame in coming second in le Tour. Fuck this unwarranted criticism of a guy who pushed himself to the limit day after day, and lost by less than a minute for the second year running, both times to guys riding in vastly superior teams. You may not like his voice, and he's not the most media-friendly character, but he is a fucking good cyclist. |

| | tim, no need for such serious analysis of the tour. havent you noticed? this thread spiralled down to OK magazine standards. all the talks had been about how cyclists look, who's ugly, good looking, who's annoying and who's the whinger. for a while there i got the tour and big brother mixed up. anyway, i give up. so who do you think will win big brother? im sure cadel will get booed when he gets voted out |

As for the Tour not being for Cadel. I'm sorry but you don't finish 2nd in the biggest race of the year, two years running and think "It's not for me". Well, maybe that's what the English do but clearly the Spaniards and Aussies are made of tougher stuff.

| | Fair play to Cadel for what he's achieved, but I really do think that he needs to rethink his attitude to the media. If he insults them by not speaking to them he insults us all. I would have thought that any decent management team would have made him aware of the importance of good PR and marketing... |

If you're watching the shitty ITV coverage then you're wrong about his lack of comments. How do you 'insult someone by not speaking to them' anyway? If you've got nothing nice to say it's better to say nothing. He was more than obliging with the interviews I saw except for his post-crash antics (against an Aussie journo - history?)
