Amazing how Gerolsteiner riders can go so much quicker than expected when they are looking for a new sponsor for next season (or a well payed slot on another team). mmm

did the squeaky voiced one let the pressure get to him today?
I can't stand his whiny, thrush-reddened visage, but i wonder if he could/should have beaten the spaniard over those solo 53km.
Or did Sastre show that training wins Grand Tours?

However poor show if that collarbone neurotic is the best cyclist that the convict colony
has ever had.
At least up here we had MR HTFU, Robert Millar AKA 'is he a sheila now?'

You ignorant cock. You don't think Cadel doesn't bust a gut to ride at this level. Go the fuck back to hipsterville and leave pro cycling for people who understand it a little.
Robert Millar is Scottish. How many English riders have won the Tour?

Now Rupert Murdoch's got our back and wants his own GB TDF team things will be different.

Things could get weird from here on.

Given that the English live next door to France I can't understand why so few riders here are racing at a pro level?

Surely you've picked up on the cultural climate by now? Ever since the 50s, dark forces have been at work to push cycling into the dankest darkest recesses of the collective English psyche.

"Robert Millar is Scottish. How many English riders have won the Tour?"
then why doesn't he have a saltire on his bike instead of two massive union jacks?

That'll be the same number as Australians who've won the Tour. ;-)

Sorry, TdF didn't involve knobby tyres or women last time I checked (not including that jump over the peloton a few years ago).

so those disciplines are not 'pro' cycling then? i mean they have mechanics and people to shout encouragement and everything.

what I intended to discuss
Did Evans let the pressure get to him today? Or was he just whacked still as a result of the diabolical lack of support he received from team(sic) lotto in the alps?

Then how come Millar won Gold for Malta in the Small States of Europe Games held in San Marino in 2001?

Could he be a Malteser?

1:34 was too much to bring back on Sastre. He might've done it before.. but recently (last couple of years) Sastre has TT'd much better and only lost a minute over similar distance. I'm sure they both went flat out today, Cadel got back a little time but it was always gonna be touch and go as to whether he'd get enough. Sastre really needed to crack for Cadel to stand a chance.

What team?

Evans was just rubbish. Out of pity and compassion, everyone involved in Le Tour has made allowances for his whingeing averageness for the past few years, doing their utmost to let him win and therefore shut up some of his frustrated fans, but alas, he's still too crap to win.

At least he has his chain of bike shops to fall back on.
