| | The use of an Angle Grinder I need to borrow an Angle Grinder from someone. It's to chop a D-Lock in half, and possibly parts of a bike. Basically someone locked a Specialized road bike to the iron fence of my office, and someone else a week later tried to steal said bike by rotating the bike in the air so that it would leverage the D-Lock off. It didn't work, the bike should now be in the Epic Fail thread as it's top tube is bent to hell, and the rear wheel ruined. Ironically the bike has pitlocks on it so someone cared once, but perhaps not now. Anyhow, point is... the bike has to come off the fence as it's clearly now abandoned and is a bit of an eyesore. So angle grinder, cabled up is fine as we can run an extension... and then we'll take the bike off bike cutting the D-Lock and maybe a few spokes on the back wheel. Anyone able to help out? |

Who can do it? It's basically opposite Wagamama on Streatham Street. WC1B 3SR.

I have an angle grinder - with metal cutting disc - would need somewhere to plug it in (obviously) - no problem for me to do if it doesn't work out with the other offers. My little brother is a manager of several Wagamamas (although not that particular one) so perhaps a phone call would see us siphon off some of their noodley electricity ?

| | Why the hell not. There's £20 in it for the person with the angle grinder. The office manager just said that perhaps they should bribe you so that if we ever need a hand in future someone would be available. I feel part responsible, I went on a crusade about making sure we didn't have any of those "No bicycles to be locked to railings" signs, and then we go and end up with a broken bike locked permanently and uglifying the building. Ooops. |

| | @VB Ok pm sent, grinder in bag after being lugged around London on errands. :) @Pajamers. I would recommend borrowing a pipe cutter for a cleanest cut of your risers. However I am happy to do them if you wish and have always achieved a good result myself. Bring with you a rule or ruler, some masking or insulation tape (for marking) and if they are not on a bike a rag / old t shirt so when I stand on them to hold the bars securely I don't scratch them. |

VB: cheers for letting me muck in, looking forward to seeing you.. Chris: like your style dude, just coming for the destruction.. Easts after? |
