One old Peugeot Premiere hacked into a fixed by a clumsy ape.

Once clumsy ape.

The new (and temporary) ride- normally to be set up as my road bike, but for the time being it is my beautiful fixed.

And it goes so well with my shoes!

Face has changed slightly:

This is what I did today. Soon I will file the dropouts so I can adjust the chain tension better- it is better than it looks though.

That does look similar to mine, minus the dropouts. I can see why it got re-sprayed now! I was told it was a joe waugh, but him and dave yates did share a workshop at M Steel cycles...

The old Peugeot chainsets are riveted together. Even the chainguard is difficult to remove without making a mess. I could set to with the angle grinder but would rather switch out the whole chainset but that requires tools, money, parts and technical knowledge so I'm leaving it until I have some time to dedicate to it.

Also need to refit brakes, get the correct size freewheel sprocket for the other side of the hub, replace the seatpost and saddle.

My wishlist also contains gun turrets, whirling death blades, an espresso machine, and a brevill.

A bit of changes to my everyday-bike.. most recent the rear-wheel i laced up with stuff i had lying around yesterday - Miche Primato hub, Mavic CXP14 rim. Was so happy with the result i decided to start skidding through a brown Vredenstein Fortezza TriComp i also had lying around :) (grips really well, a bit hard to skid, guess it will hold out for a few weeks at most).. Anyway, here it is:

To whoever lives at the bottom of kingsland road and gave me a suspicious look after checking out your white bike yesterday, I wasn't sizing it up to nick it, I'm new to fixed and my eyes are glued to every one I see.

Actually you are right but I am going to persist in kidding myself that it fits for another year or two or until I can transpose my love onto another frame but at the moment love is blind.

The Pearson (thinking of trying to pimp it up really, thinking white Halo rims maybe, white tires, decal removal etc, blue or red KMC chain):

Not very exciting I know but I'm a roadie really (of the hairy legged variety) This is the Prince:

Sadly I do own a complete Pinarello Prince outfit - bibs, jersey and gloves! Never worn it though... that Castelli stuff is just so damn comfy plus it survived a 25mph crash without tearing (one tiny hole in the bibs despite the fact i ripped half the skin off my thigh).
