America Night Ride 4th July 7pm Canada House

NEWS FLASH: we are now meeting at Little America (Canada) House Trafalgar Sq, due to concerns about being mistaken for a protest at the US Embassy. The time remains 7

Well guns on the 5th lost by one vote, so its on for the night ride.

the route is in the works, but it has the American International Uni and the Wild Oats in Kennsington, America Sq EC3, America st SE1, Union st SE1, and a mini race, and stupid competitions.

fancy dress, American flags, and fireworks are highly encouraged.

Is having a love for America a pre-requisite for this ride?

well, I'm in. I'll get Tramps in too. We could re-enact the civil war, North v. South between us.
I'm a little bit nervous about being decked out in the stars and stripes with a bunch of others that are, but, um, I have cute flag knickers so how about I just promise to wear those?
Probably won't make the beginning of the ride though, will have to meet you guy's out somewhere.

Meeting near the US Embassy at any time would be stupid.
Meeting near the US Embassy on a day when security will be tight is really fucking stupid.

Ride past it fine, but choose another meeting spot. You risk confrontation with people who aren't going to be patient with you, and if there's even the slightest risk that it can be interpreted as protest (and by gathering it could be) you risk arrest.

Forgive me flipping out, but it's really not wise to choose the US Embassy as a meeting spot.

I was actually on about the main one opposite the american embassy, Grosvenor street. Where the baby seal clubbing protests were a few years ago.

Sorry Horatio, Mr Crash and myself ran into a strange specimen of Torontonian last night at westie drinks. She was a 'fag slag' wandering around bumming smokes off all of the guys pretending to enjoy being chatted up. Quite sad really.

I think Mr Crash in particular took offense so he'll be a touch anti-Canadian for a while. It'll pass.
