okay, this thread is called the good, the bad and the arseholes. So the good: angpatten357. Bike bits. mine arrived less than 24 hours after they were ordered, as guaranteed. Job done - no messin'. no bling available, but if you want a few cheap-end bits, angpatten357's your uncle.

I do think by token of other threads, this one will turn into beef central; you have one bad experience, you don't use the seller again in general, - is it right to destory their often conscientious sales ethic? I've lost money recently - fuck it, not enough to post on here, even though I feel like doin' it. Guys that other people agree with should be highlighted but let's not just post up our most recent problems.

True PJS, I was thinking of saying that. I was under the impression that this thread was intended to highlight good and bad ebayers, rather than simply a thread for bashing every single person who fails to live up to the expectations of someone on this forum.

People who get 'named and shamed' should be genuinely dodgy sellers - who sell broken merchandise (and deny it repeatedly, in spite of damning evidence), or those who sell grotesquely overpriced merchandise.

i blame roxy, she been some kind of crazy loose cannon ever since that courier ran off with her visa. she's angry, she wants blood and she ain't gonna stop till someone pays.

i'd also like to say that bling bling is the man. he gave me free rim tape, reels of it, when i bought a crank puller.

This bloke is a twat. Amongst having piss-poor, rude customer service and never replying to emails, he lists shit as 'Buy it Now' when he clearly doesnt have the stock. Wanker.

Very common thing of internet selling,
List everything your suppliers carry, Someone buys it you order it in and then send it out.

Do I really need to mention the Dave Hinde eBay store?

http://stores.ebay.co.uk/Number1bikebits

This was covered in detail on the old C+ forum (Google Dave Hinde etc). I understand that they have lots of nice positive feedback, but as soon as someone leaves a negative one, they attack them almost personally.

Steer clear!

Charliethebikemonger is very good. If you ever need something in a rush - large or small - it's worth having a look to see if he has the item in stock. Really quick delivery and friendly emails with sensible answers to questions asked. Highly recommended (and no relation.)

+1 on "number1bikebits"
Bought some wheels off them back in April - took 4 weeks to arrive despite almost daily phone calls and emails to them.
Wasn't just their fault - the couriers they use are slow as well.
However the vast majority of their customers seem happy - guess it depends what you're ordering.

I ordered something off them the other week and it turned up 2 days later which was not to bad.

I think this thread is looking pretty good. There are some extreme cases. Getting a refund, no question, and then refusing to send back the item!?!? Selling cracked frames?!?!?! Ebay offers very, very little support for sellers OR buyers. The only time I gave neutral (I've never given bad) feedback, I was berated by email about what a horrible person I was. It was neutral and I explained that while I might buy from her again she took an extremely long time to complete the process (or something like that). It was a horrible experience which has made me not trust the whole feedback thing.
