Turkish joint called The Cutting Room on Theobalds Road, opposite Lamb's Conduit St.

Not too pricey, do a great job, give you a free beer and they do a brilliant wet shave with a cut throat razor and hot towels. Also, they don't chat shit whilst cutting your hair, unless you make them :-)

Treat yourself, you're getting married ffs.

Hang on a minute, hang on. That's a very bold statement. You've obviously never been to The Guinea on Bruton Place, Mayfair? Best Steak & Kidney pies in the world - FACT!! They've got certificates and awards for it dating back to the 80's, world records, the lot.
I have sampled and they are indeed superb - all hand made, chunky bits of meat, thick, pastry lid and tasty as fuck. Even better washed down with a pint of Guinness
Plus, the Queen Mum used to go in there every Friday when she was in London, so if it was good enough for that old aletank then it's good enough for me!

barbers = rose and crown, rose st, off long acre near levis, cov garden. they are excellent, being both contemporary and old school at the same time. i used to get DA's there for a year or so. the guys are really great and the old fella can even whip up a merkin (should you want one).

Back on track. Get yourself a set of these, save yourself a fortune! I've been doing it once a week for 10years. Just worked that out - average haircut being £8 = £4,160. Jesus, new bike I reckon!

+1 the pies in The Guinea . I work just round the corner and regulary pop in for a pie. You have to see past the Pinstripe and Rugby shirt brigade which can get on your tits a bit but those pies are top drawer. Although a bit pricey the steaks in the back room are pretty good as well. Also its the only place I know of where you can order a sausage on a plate ( no bread or anything to accompany it ) with your pint. Late afternoon you will always find some pissed up Earl who can't remember his way home.

Ha! Spot on mate
I used to work on Conduit St few years back, used to go to The Guinea about once a week. So right about the sausages too and the description of the clientel. We used to turn up in jeans and scruffy trainers, got stared at like we had HIV or something. Used to be a couple of saucy(ish) foreign birds working in there too. What was the name of the landlord, nice fella, always had a dickybow on?
Favourite of mine was piercing the lid of the pie, couple of splashes of Worcester sause on top, side spoonful of Colmans! Mmmmmmm, happy days!
