| | I was watching this on ITV4 last night, maybe not paying as much attention to running order as they approached the finish, I was sure a Rock rider has escaped and was in the lead, assured of a win....but young Noggins from Norway one it! Did I doze off or was the coverage just misleading?! Anyone else bothering to watch? |

| | Yes, I was watching it too (been watching all week). The coverage is absolutely rubbish on itv4 - totally misleading camera work, not enough info on GC standings, gaps between bunches etc. They definitely missed out the bit where the Norwegian Columbia rider pulled Pena back in, just before the end. I was really impressed with the escape he made, having just pretended (possibly) to be knackered. Was gutted that it didn't work out for him. It's possible that there just aren't enough camera bikes / helicopters to capture all this, but it still could have been edited better so that we knew what was going on. it seemed as if the commentators had no idea either. If there is no effort to make a cohesive program, they might as just well show it live rather than edit it down to a highlights show. Ah well, I will continue to watch... |

| | thanks Mashton. I thought I might have had a 'funny' turn. As you say, piss poor by any standards, even if theyre short on cameras its no excuse for the presenters not explaining the outcome clearly. Still, its better than no covergae at all I suppose. Who'd have thought a few years ago that we'd be able to catch an hour of each ToB stage (and the ToI) but not see any international world football qualifying matches!! |
