| | Condor Fixed Hubs? Hello everyone. Looking around for a pair of nice new and affordable hubs for the new bike. A Condor branded set comes in @ £55 so seems good value and I would have thought they wouldn't put their name to shoddy kit. Has anyone ridden these or does anyone know anything about them? Thanks. |

| | I have one on my rear wheel. Been running it for about two years without really doing much to it, and it's still running fine. I mean, it's not like a virtually frictionless dura ace track hub, but it's a fraction of the price. so for riding around town i reckon it's fine. I was told they were made by suntour and branded for Condor. |

| | These look ok from Parker's, although I've no experience of them: System Ex Large Flange Track Hubs £44.95 RRP £49.95 Save 10% SYSTEM EX LARGE FLANGE TRACK HUBS Lightweight large flange track hubs with fixed thread on one side and single freewheel thread on the opposite side of the rear hub.

| | since last year condor have added some lower budget track parts to their own brand, such as cheapo sugino cranks, cheaper hubs. I noticed though they had some funky lookin hubs in the shop though...with perfectly simmetrical high flanges, as usual, but instead of having just a regular cilinder connecting the two, something more in the shape of a cone: larger on one side than the other, it think the price on those was £55, and i would not have a clue what brand of those would be. But if you want value for money just go for sistem x, formula, i have a wheelset built on those and it's still working fine. |

| | Thanks for all the replies. The Condor hubs have solid flanges whilst Formulas I have seen have cut outs, and my Miche Primatos have totally smooth, flush flanges (you've got to love a flush flange). The Condors' flanges are machined / lathed so they are gradiated. Going to see Arup now to get them laced to some Campag Atlanta rims. I'll lt you know how I get on. |

Youre right about suntour. They may still be going, but they dont make anything nice any more. | |

| | After consulting w/ Arup yesterday we think the condor ones I got are rebranded formulas but with solid flange walls. They look lovely. I'll be rolling on them this time next week. Thanks for all the replies. After looking at the receipt the pair actually came in £47.98 so as long as they don't explode in the next year seem pretty good value. |
