| | Removing drop bars from custom quill stem call me thick as pigshit but I believe my quill stem does not open out magically like a cave door. I am thus having difficulty getting my drops out. The second part of this is about removing the drop brake levers/hoods from the bar if I must just waggle them through the stem..do I need special tool for this job? |

| | eh? If you've got a normal quill (ie not one with a hinged clamp or removable section) you're obviously not going to get it off the bars without sliding it all the way along to the end of the drops. Sticking a screwdriver in and prising a bit makes the hole a bit bigger so you can get it round the curves of the drops. |
