Do i need pliers to put these on? Or are my fingers weak!

na, you gotta get one side on and push over the other bit with a screw driver.

easy, just use fingers, bend the chain abit and then pop!

to get them off- get a thin spanner and lever away

The one eyebrows posted is like I got with a wippperman ( I think? ) just needs to flex as he said..
You also get ones with a slide-on plate, where you drop the second plate on then click it into place. the pin-holes are keyhole shaped + Pliers help a lot.

fair do's, i suppose running single/fixed there would be no sideways movement anyways.

i have one of those flexy links on my chain...no problems so far.they are a lot easier to use.

yeh just bend the chain horizontally and it will snap off, may fly odd though and go under a washing machine like mine did.

you have to bend it in a way not replicable by the motion of the chain whilst cycling so no worry about coming off.
