Nelson cycles are distributed through cyclebasket online, exclusively i think. The track f+f represent really good value for money

Just picked up a set of Shimano 600 hubs laced to oldskool Mavic reflex'es for the pink Rossin :)
Rims are not very worn, and the hubs look great.. spokes suck a bit since they appear to be cromed and not stainless (a bit of rust a few places)... It'll do for now :)

Sounds nice. Why not rebuild them with DTs? Or just wire-wool them and service the bearings.

What finish are the rims?

silver finish... Don't really wanna spend that much on the ol' frame.. :) I'm only going to be ridin' slow and long on it.. 200km, 400km, 1200? :)

I think if I remove the stickers on the rims and clean them up a bit they'll look just fine... :)

Since I'm going to be wanting a low low gearing I'm thinking about using a crankset with smaller rings, like a 32/42-set if thats even possible.. Last audax I did I was running on the 39 on my campy equipped Fondreist all the time
Alternatively I could run a MTB cassette, but that's a bit ugly.. :)

Whats the smallest ring that'll fit a 130BCD? :)

edit; 38 it seems... Think 110BCD is what I'll need..

Cheers! It's an old dawes something-or-other... Quite nice lug work but it was pretty damn rusty when we got it. Had it blasted and painted by Mario and it's actually turned out quite a looker.

The customer wanted really short bullhorns for some reason, which I thought was a bit dodgy but they're actually quite comfy and have a bit of a rise to boot. They're Sakae Customs.

The cranks are no-name affairs but are quite good for basic cranks.

Got a couple of Eddy Merckx' on the go now... They should be stunning.

Looks real good. As a coincidence, i was thinking of exactly the same color scheme for my missus bike for next year. Looks like it's gonna be it - blue frame - silver components - brown leather contact points.

i just got a new frame for me. i dont know what frame that is, but i think`s it`s some raleigh`s frame. Frame weights 2.2kg and size is 52 - 54 cm. Original color is red. (does enybody knows what frame that is?)
im going to paint it black or red and make a Single-Speed conversion.

Lol, yeh, they aren't great by any means.

And I was referring to the cane creek crosstops earlier, which I have on my own bike and are also shit, by the way. Forgot it was a general term for those levers.

I do it more for the look. I like the bike to look heavier at the rear.Plus you dont see rears that often most people go for the front spok

Looks cool when skidded but I disagree.

On a fixed drive chain you need a strong rear wheel, with a good hub. A plastic wheel with a glued in hub on the rear which itself is not of a very good quality wouldn't be my pick of a rear wheel. Spoks are better on the front for Performance, not that you'd get a spok if performance was anywhere on your check list....

Nice Katana, the rim anodising will rub off at the brake surface so if you wanna retain the stealth look and have a sweet stopping power consider ceramic open pro rims. Nice build.
