| | i know of the panracers, they had some down in edwardes not long ago, quite a deep tread on them, but alex had some cheapo michelin gum walls and got a rip in his tyre after about 2 months or something. So good quality ones are few and far between, definately check out the panasonic panracers tho! |

| | Panaracer Pasela TG to be specific, come in plenty of size from 23c, 25c, 28c etc. The Pasela are a touring tyres and the TG is puncture resistance, but frankly if it is a touring tyres, they're usually puncture-resistance enough without needing extra melted condom on the tyres. ![]() Last edited by edscoble; 4th July 2009 at 22:28. |

| | Phase 1 fixed. ![]() ![]() ![]() Phase 2 - A machined v to match ordered for the front.. Phase 3 - Then need to decide which crankset is going to look alright - a super modern one would look gash i reckon. Sawed the bars off to make bulls in a rash moment so may try to put the drops back. |

| | Not forgetting your toe clips/power straps/spd's/any form of foot retention. I quite like your wheels as they are, deep and non-machined at the back, you're not running a rear brake so no need for a machined surface... ...and the opposite on the front where you are running a brake. Makes sense to me, serving a purpose. |

| | Not advisable, power grips are the only alternative i know of, heard mixed reviews of them, felt a bit too slack when i tried them. Just buy a pair of MKS Sylvans, cheap, good looking and do the job. Put some single toe straps or doubles (i am lusting over doubles atm) and enjoy stopping safely. |

| | Decided to change the bike a bit more to make it even more comfortable for riding everyday, especially on the trip home; ![]() Cinelli Priest + titanium stem, don't know why Cinelli stopped making the Priest bar a while ago, I never had a bar as comfortable as the Cinelli before, carradice saddlebag, getting fed up of riding with messenger bag on back for 11 miles only to have a sweaty back, it was utter bliss riding without anything on my back for 11 miles, defintely enjoyed it a lots more now, and of course a cheap B17 saddle I managed to get for only £35 despite the recession, I have child bearing hips, the Swift wasn't particularly comfortable no matter how many time I've adjusted it. sorted the clicking noise issue, turn out it's the campagnolo chainring on a Miche advanced crankset is not an awesome combination, netherless the most reliable bike I've ever owned. |

| | i know the answer to this one. the B17 and the Swallow are exactly same in shape except that the B17 has the flappy side bits (labia as someone once called them). The Swallow is also about 2cm narrower it its widest point. I went from a B17 to a swallow and the transition was most satisfactory. I am also wide of arse and find both very agreeable. |

| | Hello all. This is my first post on the forum. I've just aquired this Bob Jackson - 753 tubing, dura ace hubs, Mavic rims. Not sure what the cranks/chainwheel etc are, possibly dura ace but haven't actually seen this yet, as the previous owner is in the depths of Lincolnshire and a 3rd party arranged the sale. Gonna be my first build so as much about learning how to put a bike together as well as the end product...looking to get a respray from Bob Jackson (probably off-white/ivory), new back wheel (Velocity or DP18 or some such), flat bars, get rid of the bottle cage, plus a nice brooks saddle and some matching handlebar tape. Hope to have it finished for September respray time depending, and will post up some pics/let you know how I get on... |
