Ok, i was going to ebay my wheels but i thought i'd post them on here instead in a Roberto stylee.

Hubs: 32H Phil woods, rear is Fixed/free. Comes with bolts/washers (as not seen on pix)

Spokes: DT Swiss straight-gauge, stainless nipples. Laced radially on the front as seen...

Wheels: Silver deep v's, non machined

Comes with a 16t 1/8" sprocket and phil reverse lockring. The rear rims anodising is kind of weird in one or 2 places, its not evident and hard to picture.

Any takers?

Hi mate, nice wheels. You say they are non-machined, are they the hi-polished deep v? do you think i could use a brake? How much are you looking to sell them for?
Cheers.

eeehhhh
They're anodized, so they should be fine with a brake. But they won't stop as well as a machined rim.

With painted rims the braking will be terrible if they're not machined, plus the paintwork will come off.

(That's what Brick Lane Bikes told me anyway)

I have used a front brake on the rim for a while and it has naturally machined it. It works fine for me, machined rim will be better for braking but remember these are track rims.

Exactly. If you're even more hardcore like me you ride with a hydraulic disc brake in the rain with 700x23c wheels on a singlespeed.

Front wheel skids wheeeeey.

I was thinking about equipping the fixed gear i'm building with a hydraulic disc brake in the front for sheer over-the-topness. instead i think i'll just use my bare left hand as a caliper.
