Big Accident on Tower Bridge Road

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/london/7410203.stm

Police chopper is currently hovering over my work, and I've seen the air ambulance do a few trips.. looks quite bad.
I take that road every morning.

Poor girl. She only left her office fifty yards up the road a minute earlier!
When your time is up there really is very little you can do about it!

The bus driver almost suffered a heart attack too. I feel so sad for the girl, and her family. If the tree should have been pruned, then the council will be very liable for keeping the highways in a dangerous condition, and will answer for that.

I remember interviews of the driver of the bus the bomb went off in, was traumatised for a very long time, as will this poor driver. I wouldn't be surprised he hated traffic-light-runners, like the mayor and me, but will now be mentally hamstrung because a tree helped him kill a lass. Sometimes life ain't funny; not one bit.

Article says TFL are responsible for the trees and they are under some kind of maintenance plan. Makes it sound like the tree was falling and the bus+ped just happened to be there when it happened.
Not nice.. not much you can do though.
