Ebay is awesome.
I was just thinking about them (again) this morning. There's too much procrastinating and not enough buying going on. I must spend more time on eBay. I must spend more time on eBay...

Those fames are so cheap. The bikes all have 26" wheels though, I wonder if a 700c x23 wheel/tyre would fit?

Nah, i've got one. Halfords sell the tyres for £8, as does Archie.

^^^ Looks like they've perforated the track ends, ready to tear out. Were they just desperate to get a bit of Drillium in there somewhere?

i grabbed an archie wilkinson last year with the intention of building it up as a very cheap messenger bike.

the rear will accept a 700c wheel , but the dropouts are for 110. and bmx pacman style. so you'd have to spread em apart before getting it in... i was lazy and got 120mm's in...

also the forks have zero rake - we popped a road fork on it - not too much overlap. i had been thinking run a 26 on the front, but we had the above threaded fork knocking around
the headset it comes with is very low stack and crap.
the seatpost is 26.

i never actually got around to riding it unfortunately, however my buddy used it for messing on for a coupla months. fun to ride, but quite heavy.

I think i'm going to make a VERY cheap bike with a 26" back (100mm disc mtb wheel) and a 24" front.
