In the Oxford small ads today - "F moser frame small VGC £50 07855452294". He ran the same ad last week which also said "race frame, looks almost unused". Cheapness for someone if you can be bothered to come to Oxford to collect it? (London-Oxford return is £8 if you book a few days early).

Are you based in New Zealand? If not then there is no point shipping that half way around the world. If you want a cheap but decent track frame Jos is selling some really nice ex-Velodrome frames from Belgium for <£150.

^ that katakura was at £41 with 6 bids. WTF?! Once there are a few bidders, can you still expect such a bargain? Might as well wait and snipe if you aren't gonna put a realistic bid down. Ebay is weird.

I'm in Auckland, so will be picking it up if I win.

It's very rare to see frames like this over here, it seems whenever they do come up they are bought by Aussies who then sell them on Ebay :(

Dude with a beard, lives in Hackney Wick, don't think he is on here. Knows F* all about bikes as far as I could tell from my brief conversation with him. Not sure where he get all his stuff, although I would like to know.

Hard to know what the market is like in NZ but it sounds like there aren't many track bikes coming up. Does it come with all the bits (saddle, seat post, cranks, BB, headset, stem, bars etc). I see you've got the high bid - keep going a little higher if you need too, and bonus that there will be no P&P charges.

Comes with everything there but pedals, bunch of front (!?) wheels too.

I don't know anything about De Bernardi frames, any info on them, anyone?

angle of dropouts a bit wierd on that Hughes, no? BB too low or something. Conversion?

@Prav, you seem to be missing the essential principal of autobidding on ebay... however high you bid, you only pay one bid above whatever another person put as their maximum. So yeah, there are some people putting low bids on, but whoever is winning may have put their maximum as £1k for all we know.

Whenever there's something I just have to have on eBay, in the last 30 seconds I'll bid 2 x what it'll probably go for to ensure I win ... hoping no one else is doing the same.

Haven't been burned yet.

there's your problem. first rule of ebaying, stick to a bid you are confident of, never raise. something will always come up again!

i bet you've paid way too much for many things!

No. I routinely buy low on eBay, sometimes with the intent to sell high to cover costs.

And only slurge when I have to.

Usually evens out.
